We know that gaming is so much more than just fun — it’s a powerful tool for learning, growth, and connection. Through our work with schools and community groups, we’ve seen first-hand how board gaming transforms the classroom experience.
Gaming naturally builds essential skills like teamwork, speaking, and listening, while encouraging positive, respectful behaviours that students carry back into their everyday learning. It’s an incredible way to refocus young minds, energising them for the challenges of the classroom.
But the magic doesn’t stop there — gaming also nurtures the emotional and pastoral needs of every child. Whileimmersed in play, children:
We believe that through gaming, children don’t just play — they grow, connect, and thrive.
Testimonials
‘lf you had asked the children what ‘gaming’ was two years ago, I don’t think the response would have been very exciting or informed. Now we have groups of children who love a challenge and will miss playtimes to play board games that involve strategic thinking and skill.
Our gaming club was set up and run by experts for a few weeks and then the children were off and ready to be motivated to do this for themselves. If you have an interested adult who can spare a few hours to get them started the benefits will be huge. Children talk and cooperate and discuss their thinking skills- and this is out of lessons. Try it, you may even get hooked yourself!”

Bring the power of gaming to your school!
We provide a variety of options so that your pupils can benefit from the amazing skills that gaming provides! Invite us to provide a lunch time gaming club or after school club so that children can benefit from an hour of socialising, learning and fun!
We strongly believe in the power of gaming for many different reasons. From our experience within schools and the wider community we have found gaming helps promote team building, speaking and listening skills and fosters positive and respectful behaviours. All these skills have been known to refocus children’s attentions when back in the classroom.
Alongside these benefits, gaming additionally supports the pastoral needs of a child. While gaming, children develop
many lifelong skills which support their emotional and mental health.
Cost
Sessions are £35 for the initial GamesMaster and then £20 per additional Games Master thereafter.
We recommend a ratio of 1 GM:6 Pupils.
We suggest two possible ways for funding these sessions:
Set up:
Our team is led by a qualified teacher and consists of our experienced Games Master staff from the café. We comfortably run our sessions with the ratio of 1:6.
Our sessions are aimed at children from Year 3 onwards due to accessibility of the games.
What we do:
Our Games Masters start by teaching a variety of games which supports the children’s social, personal and emotional development. Then they show the children and a lucky member of staff how to run their own sessions enabling your school to be self-sufficient in gaming.
When and how long:
Our sessions typically last for an hour and can be delivered during a lunch time or after school. We are also able to support enrichment days for table top gaming or one of our giant games which can be played in small teams.
We can deliver our sessions for as long or short as you feel your pupils need. We would suggest a minimum of a
term’s worth of gaming.
